What should I do about this guy? Im so teared up?

There's this guy at my school and he's a bit out there and is always violent and threatning to shoot up the school but no one takes him serious. I tried to be nice to him and talked to him throughout the week i even gave him a hug and decided to invite him to the movies tonight but he told me that I was setting him up and told me to go screw myself, yelling at me like a lunatic. I've been crying for the past hour and I sort of miss him. What should I do?
